Dear Black Tiger Families:

Over the past few weeks, we have seen - for the most part - flat trend lines in Summit County COVID-19 testing positivity rates. Also, Summit County has been at Level 1 - Yellow for the last two weeks. Finally, area school districts who have returned are not experiencing community spread in their buildings. All of this indicates continued improvement in the metrics as they relate specifically to our health jurisdiction.

As a result, the Cuyahoga Falls City School District (CFCSD) will resume in-person/in-building learning on Monday, September 28, in the Hybrid Instructional Model.

For specific information regarding schedules in Option 1 - Hybrid and Option 2 - Black Tiger Remote Learning Academy, please visit the Return to School 2020 page on the district website:

On the website, you will also find information pertaining to the distribution of breakfast and lunch which is free for all students under the age of 18.  Further, our bus drivers will be calling families Friday with information about pick-up and drop-off locations and times.

I want to thank the many parents, guardians, students, staff, Board of Education, community members and local medical professionals for the time, effort and patience they have all invested to help us reach this point. Over the past few months, we have faced many challenges regarding COVID-19. However, we’ve remained consistent in our commitment towards using guidance and recommendations from local health officials, along with local data, to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff and the community, as we move to in-person learning.

Be well, stay safe, and as always – Go Black Tigers!
