STUDENT MEAL CHARGES

Cuyahoga Falls City Schools Nutrition & Food Service Department believes that good nutrition is a key to learning.  Our student lunch accounting system allows parents access to add money to student accounts using cash, checks, or our online payment system: www.PayForIt.net

We know even with this system in place, sometimes parents forget to add money to student accounts. Therefore, Cuyahoga Falls School District has adopted the following policies.

* Parents will receive notification when the student’s remaining meal balance reaches $10. 

* Students may charge meals to a negative balance equivalent to the cost of two breakfasts and two lunches.

* Once the maximum negative balance is reached, the parents/guardians/custodians of the student will be       contacted by the district. The student will be provided an alternative meal and milk.

* After a fifth alternative meal is served, the Food Service Supervisor will contact the family and the student      will no longer receive meals until the account is sufficiently funded.

Please refer to the Cuyahoga Falls City School District Board of Education Policy Manual Chapter X – Miscellaneous 10.31 for more details about these changes.
