Update from Lincoln on 11/5/19

Good morning Black Tigers and Happy Election day!

  •  Although we do not have school today please remember that we do have student led conferences during the day.  If you still need to schedule a student led parent conference, please call us so we can assist you.

  •  We are so excited that our Veterans Day assembly is this Friday at 9:15am in the Gymnasium. Students were sent home with a flier last week with details. As you know, the flier invited any veteran or active member of the armed forces to be recognized at our school wide assembly. We would ask that all students wear red, white, or blue or any scout uniform (cub scouts, boy scouts, daisies, brownies, girl scouts, etc…) on Friday.  As a school we would love to show our gratitude to any veterans or active members of the military- especially those that make a positive impact in the life of a Lincoln Student....If you have yet to RSVP for this event please call us tomorrow.

  • As our weather is beginning to cool down significantly, please be sure to send your student to school with appropriate attire for recess - winter coats, hats, gloves/mittens, appropriate footwear.  We go out for recess (as long as it’s not raining) until the weather feels colder than 20 degrees!!

  • Please stop using the gated driveway on Bailey Road as a dropoff or pick up spot.  It is a HUGE safety concern. We have painted no parking, no dropping as well as placed orange barrels up to ensure that we correct this safety concern.

  • Finally, a huge thank you to everyone that helped or took the time to make Recess with a Role Model so successful. Additionally, thank you again to everyone that helped make Halloween at Lincoln so special as well. We are so thankful and lucky to have such a supportive community and hardworking PTA.

If you have any questions, please call me directly at 330-926-3803 or pop in today during student led conferences and say hi.

I hope you enjoy the day with your students today, don’t forget to vote and as always Go Black Tigers!
