Principal's Message
Dear Richardson Families,
I am pleased to announce that we have had a successful close to the first semester. Our students and staff have been very busy in the classrooms. They have been working hard towards making a full year’s growth. Please take a moment and check out our teacher’s websites to see what your children have been busy doing.
As we are in the midst of winter, I would like to remind everyone that we will be asking students to go outside during recess unless the temperature drops to 20 degrees. Please make sure that your children dress appropriately for the weather. In addition, please remind your children that the paved surfaces around the building and in the parking lots can be very slippery! It is extremely important that everyone take their time and use utmost caution. Our custodian, Mr. Gurski, is working hard to keep the walks plowed and salted, and we also rely on a team of maintenance folks for the district to take care of our parking lots and surrounding areas. They are doing their best, but caution is the best policy!
Please bear with us as we continue to modify our drop off and dismissal policy through the ACME construction process. During this time we ask with your assistance in promoting the safety for all of our Richardson students. Please adhere to the following:
-
Parking during dismissal is permitted on the side streets around Richardson.
-
We encourage you to park and walk to the building to meet your student or to designation location to meet your child off site.
-
Please refrain from stopping or parking your vehicle on 23rd Street.
-
Please refrain from parking in the Acme parking lot.
-
Encourage students to cross the street only in the designated crosswalks.
-
Only buses are permitted to park in the front circle of the building during dismissal.
-
Be alert in order to keep everyone safe.
If I can ever be of assistance, please feel free to reach me at (330) 926-3807 or cf_petruna@cfalls.org.
Yours in education,
Ms. Julie A. Petruna
