Dear Black Tiger Family.

In our efforts to keep you informed, I wanted to share our latest edition of our weekly “Return To School 2020” newsletter with you. This week, I provide an update on where we are with our new 6-12 building project, and the steps we are taking towards moving this exciting project forward.

Also, in an effort to clear up any misconceptions, I explain how the funds that have been allocated for this project are not being used for any other projects throughout the district. As required by law, these funds are in a separate account and can only be used only for the 6-12 building project.

Additionally, the newsletter touches on a wonderful project taking place this weekend by our high school Student Council, who is collecting school supplies for those in need. Their collection takes place this Sunday, from 1pm to 4pm in front of our high school. Please support them if you can, as it means so much to those in our community.

Finally, as I mentioned before, we continue to be in regular discussions with Summit County Public Health as we determine our next steps towards an eventual return to school, which we’ll announce the week of the 21st and implement on the 28th.

Please be prepared for any scenario that may take place, including a hybrid or full remote situation. As always, the health, safety and well-being of our students, teachers, staff and community, driven by the guidelines established by Summit County Public Health, will always be at the forefront of our decisions.

Thank you for all you give to your families, your community, and our district. Be well, stay safe, and as always, Go Black Tigers!
