Dear Black Tiger Families.

In an effort to keep you informed, we’ve created a weekly “Return to School 2020” newsletter that will be sent to you every Thursday through the first day of school. The newsletter is linked in this email.

Our first newsletter focuses on social and emotional needs, and provides links to a variety of resources to support you.

On another note, we want to share a small change that’s being made to the elementary school day schedule. This year, we will not have Early Release Wednesday. Families have asked if we would consider changing the schedule because of how it affects childcare when the county changes colors.

In order to help you, we are changing the schedule to Early Release Friday. This means that, when elementary students are in school, in-person, the school day will end at 2:25pm for professional development teacher time. Again, the school day for elementary students on Fridays will end at 2:25pm.

Please note that our students in grades 6 through 12 will not be affected by the Early Release Friday schedule, as the time for teacher professional development has already been incorporated into the Friday schedule.

As always, please reach out to us if you ever have questions. And please visit our “Return to School 2020” website, which is updated regularly. We want for you to be informed and comfortable as you return to school this year.

I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Be well, stay safe, and as always Go Black Tigers.
