Peggy Whitcomb (Administrative Assistant to the Department of Human Resources) will be honored as the Cuyahoga Falls City School District’s June “Shining Star” at the Wednesday, 6/30 Board of Education meeting.
According to Ellen McClure (Director of Human Resources), who nominated Peggy, “There are so many reasons why Peggy is deserving of this award. Her contribution to our team is tremendous. Not only does she handle all of our Certified staff needs, she also coordinates all the benefits for the district and takes care of all staff wellness needs throughout the year.”
“She is always looking for ways to improve her work and our department. She has taken courses to help with staff mental health awareness and has become a notary for our district, just to name two!”
“Peggy is a champion for great causes-especially serving our veterans and our community. Recently, she was recognized by the Ohio National Guard for her involvement with Operation Mangus-which supported COVID-19 Pandemic Relief in Ohio.”
“She is the queen of multi-tasking-and keeps our department running smoothly, efficiently, and with a smile-even though she may be answering the same question for the 100th time that week!”
“She does not just wait to respond to questions as they are asked, she is consistently sending messages with important information so that our staff is always up to date.”
“Peggy is like a human Siri, always helping everybody out and asking nothing in return. The bottom line is that I would be lost without her and I cannot thank her enough for everything she does for me, our department, our district and our Black Tiger Family. You are incredibly deserving of this award.”
