The Department of Business and Operations oversees all aspects of buildings and grounds maintenance, food service, transportation, and purchasing.
Our department supports the instructional efforts of the teaching staff and administration in every way possible. We provide safe, efficient, and effective school bus transportation services to our eligible students while working diligently to provide a safe, clean and secure environment conducive to teaching and learning. We also serve healthy, tasty meals to our students to concentrate on their studies and excel.
Our goal is to do all this cost-effectively, to use taxpayer dollars wisely, and respond to the needs of our students, staff, parents, and citizens.
General Information:
The school district owns and operates nine school buildings. Six are K-5 elementary schools, two are Grades 6-8 middle schools, and we have one high school. These nine buildings contain roughly 750,000 square feet of classroom, office, and gymnasium spaces. CFCSD also has one school building leased to Schnee Learning Center. This building contains an additional 40,000 square feet of space and also houses the CFCSD Preschool and Black Tiger Family Center.
In January 2026, all 6-12 grade students will relocate to the new 365,000-square-foot Cuyahoga Falls 6-12 Campus. Bolich Middle School will be demolished for a parking lot at the new campus, and the high school and Roberts Middle School will be sold.
The district also has an operations/bus garage and warehouse. The district has more than 151 acres of land and more than 800,000 square feet of building space. Our classified staff consists of secretarial, maintenance, custodial, cleaners, bus drivers, monitors, mechanics, and food service workers. These team members work anywhere from 1-8 hours per day, and many work the school year calendar.
