Greetings Black Tiger Families,
Let’s hope we are in the clear with the winter weather. This is as mild of a winter that I can remember! I’m excited for the spring and all that comes along with it-concerts, graduation, spring sports, and art shows! With the third quarter of school on the horizon, we have been working diligently on the new school and preparing for the spring. The utility hook ups are near completion and the resurrection of the campus will hopefully begin to be seen this summer. We have been focusing on making our campuses safer and asking students and parents to help us in our efforts to improve behavior. We have high expectations for student behavior and learning.
Our students experienced many victories and awards this winter season. Some of those include:
- 1st place in the Summit County Bridge Building Contest
- Our eSports team are the Valorant State Champs
- Several CFHS students earned Superior and Outstanding ratings at the OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest
- Our CFHS Home Maintenance class built a playhouse for the Akron Home & Garden Show which was auctioned off to benefit students pursuing careers in construction trades.
- CFHS senior, Mackenzie Kramer surpassed 1,000 points in varsity basketball
Congratulations, we are very proud of you!
Please make an effort to check out our spring musical, Shrek the Musical on April 14th and 15th. More information will be coming soon. Thank you for your continued support of our students and district. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
Go Black Tigers!
Sincerely,
Superintendent Andrea Celico
