New Black Tiger Pride Ticket Reward Program - Students have been earning and collecting their Black Tiger Pride Tickets. Students will be able to cash in their BTP tickets for incentives such as snacks, drinks, and other non-food prizes. The rewards will be distributed every Thursday.
ID Badges and Lanyards—Students are required to wear their ID badges and school-purchased lanyards around their necks AT ALL TIMES! This requirement is for safety purposes and is enforced daily.
Attendance and Tardies—Students are responsible for the following in regards to attendance and tardies:
Arriving on time
Attending school except when ill
Bringing charged Chromebooks daily
Wearing their ID badges/lanyards.
Please work together to arrive on time daily with all required materials and attend school consistently. We need our students here to teach them!
We have been very lenient so far with tardies this school year before implementing consequences. For the remainder of this second quarter, we will be implementing the following steps and/or consequences to help promote students arriving on time:
Step 1 Student’s 3rd Tardy
Step 2 Student’s 5th tardy
Step 3 Student’s 7th Tardy
Discussion between the student and an administration about his/her repeated tardiness.
A warning letter will be sent home to be signed by the parent.
Phone call to parent from an administrator.
Step 4 Student’s 10th tardy
Step 5 Student’s 15th Tardy
Arrival/recess and the weather - Students stand outside of the building before the warning bell rings in the morning when the “real feel” temperature is 20 degrees or above. Students will also go outside for about 8 minutes after lunch when the “real feel” temperature is 20 degrees or above. Students are highly encouraged to wear appropriate clothing during the winter months including coats. There are several factors when making this decision including the amount of ice, snow, wind, sleet, mud on the back lawn and rain.
