On February 22, 2023, the Cuyahoga Falls City School District Board of Education voted to approve the contract of Mrs. Jodie Hausmann as the new Assistant Superintendent effective August 1. Hausmann is currently the Executive Director of Connect ITC. At Connect, she is a district’s partner in helping to design a trusted learning environment by supporting safety protocols, cybersecurity best practices, technology upgrades, and valid data for decision-making. Prior to working at Connect, she was a superintendent of the Bay Village City Schools and Perkins Local School. She brings her leadership experience in academics, business operations, safety/security measures, community outreach, infrastructure projects, and technology immersion practices. During her sixteen years serving in the Parma City Schools, she was a director of elementary teaching and learning, the Parma Park Elementary School principal, and an elementary school teacher for seven years. Mrs. Hausmann is a recipient of the 2018 Betsy M. Cowles Women in Leadership Award from the Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA), and in 2020 was named a “Superintendent to Watch” by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). Additionally, during her tenure in Bay Village City Schools the District was named a “Top Workplace in 2020.” Jodie and her husband Mike are proud parents of two grown daughters who both serve in the healthcare industry. Her life is enriched by having her parents reside with her and enjoys reading, gardening, and cooking for her family.School Superintendent, Dr. Andrea Celico expressed her excitement for Ms. Hausmann’s appointment. “I am honored that Ms. Hausmann has accepted the position as Assistant Superintendent and I look forward to tapping into her knowledge and experience that spans numerous areas of expertise.
