We are halfway through the school year! This halfway point marks the end of semester classes and midpoint of our all year courses. With that comes important assessments referred to as exams. At CFHS, we developed a Modified Exam Schedule leading up to Winter Break to give our students the best opportunity to prepare and take these tests from Monday, December 18th to Wednesday, December 20th. It is important to note that our students that are currently finishing their American Government courses will be utilizing this time to take their state-mandated end of course exams (OST) that are a part of their graduation requirements. In addition, all students in ELA9, ELA10, Algebra, and Geometry will be provided the second round of our local assessment referred to as MAP. In addition, all students currently taking American History and Biology will be given a practice OST during their exam period during their exam block in preparation for their OST at the end of the year. After our Winter Break, students will be provided new schedules for the second semester and the second half of the year will officially begin upon their return on Thursday, January 4th. There are a number of things planned for this semester, including State Testing, ACT, Conferences, Career Night, and numerous concerts and athletic events; I encourage you to please check the website frequently and review the weekly newsletters for updates and information.
