HS Administrative Principal
I have had the opportunity to serve in a number of different capacities within the Cuyahoga Falls City School District, including as a student teacher (high school math), a high school math teacher, middle school and high school assistant football coach, mathematics department chair, dean of students, high school associate principal, and now as the high school building principal. I truly appreciate all of the support that I have received from students, families, community members, and the wonderful Cuyahoga Falls City School District staff over these last few years. I am incredibly excited and grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to continuing to serve this wonderful community!
With that being said, welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in Cuyahoga Falls High School, home of the Black Tigers. The staff at Cuyahoga Falls is dedicated to the complete development of each student that walks through our doors. We embrace the district vision stating that "we are the hub of the community; committed to a culture of caring! We innovate! We create! We personalize education for all!" At Cuyahoga Falls High School, we tirelessly work to provide an education that is grounded in 21st Century skills and common core standards with a student-centered approach to ensure that all of our students graduate career and college ready. In order to reach each student, we are always searching for ways to offer more opportunities for our students. This quest has resulted in a wide range of course offerings including an increase in A.P. courses and dual enrollment options over the last several years. We also believe that student success is directly related to student involvement in activities and programs. Therefore, we offer an extensive list of extra and co-curricular activities for students to develop socially as part of a team, club, or group in order to become active members of the Black Tiger family.
The Cuyahoga Falls community is integral in our success and we actively seek partnerships with businesses and members to enrich the real-world experiences for our students. We are thankful for the current relationship we have with our Parent Teacher Organization, Athletic Boosters, Music Boosters, Cuyahoga Falls Alumni Foundations, and all the organizations that are dedicated to assist us in our constant efforts in providing a quality, well-rounded educational experience for our students.
We believe that communication is critical in our relationship with our students, families, and community members. With this in mind, we encourage the active utilization and monitoring of student progress through the use of Progress Book. We also value the importance of keeping everyone informed through a variety of means including our website, ParentSquare, twitter, facebook, phone calls, emails, and many other forms of communication. Our quarterly messenger is an effective tool as it is filled with news, student and staff spotlights, and important announcements. I encourage you to read the latest CFHS Messenger that is posted under the Latest News heading on our homepage. We are committed to two –way communication and encourage you to contact the school directly if you ever have any questions, concerns, or are looking for a way to become more actively involved.
The Administrative team at CFHS works with an amazing staff. They work extremely hard to create a unique delivery model for all of our students.
