As we approach Quarter 2, we have set the stage for another amazing year here at Silver Lake. We've been awarded 4.5 stars from the Ohio Department of Education for all of our hard work last year and we will continue to strive for excellence. We will have added some extra resources to bolster literacy and are also piloting new math curriculum to engage our students at higher levels. As a staff, we will be working in grade level TBT's to dive deeper into standards and data to further drive our planning.
We will continue have a large focus on our Black Tiger Pride in the building. Saying our Black Tiger Pride pledge is something we do every morning, but we also talk about the importance of living the Black Tiger Pride pledge every day.
B – Be Respectful T – Take Responsibility P – Practice Safety
For families who would like to become more involved, please consider joining our parent group here at Silver Lake called Home and School League (HSL). HSL is very active and meets on a monthly basis to plan fun and engaging family events as well as fundraise for our amazing school. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Kendall Hudson, HSL President, at [email protected]; or seek them out at Open House :)
Check out my "Weekend Announcements" as well as my newsletter "The Silver Laker" for information on what is happening here at Silver Lake Elementary. Weekend Announcements are out every Friday (sometimes Saturday), and the Silver Laker comes out monthly. Both of these will come via Parent Square but can also be found on the school's website.
If you ever have a need for assistance or questions please call our office.
Proud to be a Silver Laker; and as Always, Go Black Tigers!
